DermapenREBUILD . REJUVENATE
What is Dermapen?
Dermapen encourages the production of collagen in the skin, promoting the growth of new skin cells through microscopic channels.
How does Dermapen work?
The microscopic channels, introduced through a series of micro-sized needles, will close and allow the skin to heal. Additionally, a serum – customised to a patient’s skin – will be applied during the session, alongside topical anaesthetic for any discomfort.
What is the indication for Dermapen?
- Stretch Marks
- Acne Scars
- Wrinkles & Fine Lines
- Keloids & Scars
Is the procedure safe?
Dermapen is minimally invasive, requiring no downtime. It’s considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. The procedure isn’t safe for people who use certain acne medications or for women who are pregnant.
Side effect of Dermapen
As new tips are used for every patient, infection is unlikely. Skin inflammation may be experienced but will subside in a few hours to a day. The amount of sessions required will also vary depending on the type of treatment and individual skin condition
How is Dermapen performed?
The device glides gently along the skin, penetrating the layers of the skin closest to the surface, of a depth of up to 2mm to create numerous tiny needle wounds. The therapy encourages the body to respond through creation of new collagen and elastin fiber.
How many treatment sessions are needed?
The frequency of micro needling treatments vary with the intensity of the treatment. Mild treatments may be repeated every 2 to 4 weeks. Deep treatments for scars may be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks.
How much does Dermapen cost?
The price varies according to different skin problems and the number of sessions required. It is advisable to come to our clinic for a consultation with our doctor first.
